an illuminating idea for a tea light
I have to admit that, despite all my attention to tidiness and space, I often have a little difficulty throwing things away just because they are old or a little worn, if I still find them pretty in some way. I felt the same way about this little lantern when my partner brought it back inside from the garden after it had been left outside all winter and was losing some of its color and starting to rust. In his opinion, it was to be thrown away, but he wanted to ask me what I thought before he disposed of it. Luckily: did you see how I rescued and upgraded it again? In this case, I can't really call it a DIY project in the flesh because there was no need to undertake any complex operations to revive the lantern. All that was needed was a clean-up and a few small additions. As you can see in the photos, it's just a bit of parcel string, some silk ribbon to hang the lantern from and a few glass beads as a splash of color.
Here again in detail what you need:
Metal lantern for tea light
Silk ribbon (or satin ribbon)
Colorful glass beads
With a little manual skill and a little taste, this result was achieved very easily and quickly. Even today, as I write, this lantern hangs in the porch and occasionally houses a small candle to illuminate and warm the ambience. If you have a lantern like this at home, you can start upgrading yours right away. If you don't have one, you can find one here, for example. The price is the same for you, you've saved the time searching and I'll get a few cents from Amazon for favoring the purchase, as well as that of the other things you can find via the links in my posts. This helps me, albeit in a small way, to continue to be here for you, to tell you something that can inspire you, to help you in your search for gift ideas, to guide you in your search for decorations to beautify your home or to inspire you for projects to spend some nice relaxing creative time. I look forward to reading from you and hope you feel like writing to me or sharing this post with those you think might be interested. A hug and see you soon!
